Sesame Chicken
  • Boneless chicken cubes of 2 breasts
  • Flour (for marination) 3tbsps
  • Corn flour (for marination) 2tbsps
  • Corn flour (for slurry) 1tbsp
  • Salt n Black pepper for seasoning
  • Egg white of 1 egg
  • Ketchup 1/2 cup
  • Soy Sauce 3tbsps
  • Vinegar 2tbsps
  • Sriracha Sweet chili sauce 2tbsps
  • Honey 3tbsps
  • Chopped Garlic 4 to 5 cloves
  • Brown sugar 1tbsp
  • Chicken stock 1cup or as required
  • Sesame oil 2tbsps
  • Sesame seeds for sprinkling
  • Spring onions (chopped green part) for garnishing
  • Oil for shallow frying
  • Add flour, egg and corn flour to the chicken cubes along with salt and black pepper. Mix and coat well. Stir fry in pre heated oil on medium high heat till golden brown and crispy
  • In a separate wok add and heat sesame oil
  • Add garlic and sauté till golden. Don’t overcook
  • Add soy sauce, vinegar, sweet chili sauce, honey, brown sugar and Ketchup. Mix well
  • Add chicken stock, mix and let it simmer till it starts to thicken. (You can always add more stock if you need more gravy)
  • Add corn flour and mix well
  • Add fried chicken cubes and a tbsp of Sesame seeds to it and mix it all well till all the chicken is coated in sauce but don’t overcook. Let some sauce remain
  • Serve immediately with boiled rice after sprinkling some more Sesame seeds and spring onions on top
